It isn’t fun for the dealer either. Customers come to the dealership confused. They’re confused by all the conflicting websites they visited while researching the purchase. Tensions rise as soon as the dealer says something contrary to what was researched.  Sometimes that happens right after the introductory handshake.

Negotiations exacerbate the friction as soon as the sales agent says “let me take that to my boss,” and walks off to the mysterious back office.
